The sufferer of a Sunday morning canine attack in a north Boulder neighborhood was transported to the hospital in essential situation.
At 8:17 a.m., Boulder police had been referred to as to a disturbance within the 3200 block of Palo Parkway “and arrived to a dog severely attacking an individual,” the division stated in a submit on X.
“The dog posed significant risk to multiple bystanders,” the submit stated. “Unfortunately, less lethal measures were ineffective, and officers had to discharge their firearm after the dog tried to attack the officers.”
Officers utilized tourniquets to the person who had been attacked earlier than the sufferer was taken to the hospital.
Animal safety officers euthanized the canine as a result of severity of its accidents.
Police are investigating and can launch extra data as they’ve it, the submit stated.
