LOUISIANA — Not too long ago, we featured a couple of European dogs who worked together to sneak outside. While this video was entertaining, I was afraid it might inspire copycats from other parts of the world.
It appears my fears were accurate. Check out the crazy dog escape in this video.
Here’s my theory. Hazel, the Labrador, was sitting in her house in Louisiana when she saw the first video of the dogs escaping. Because Hazel is the only pet in the house, she initially felt that she was out of luck because she wouldn’t have an accomplice to help her.
But then she remembered that the home’s attic extends out over the porch. If she could get up to the attic and then dig through the flimsy boards, she could drop onto the porch and run to freedom.
When her owners got home, they were baffled as to how she managed to get out. The doors and windows were all locked. Nobody had entered the home while they were away. After checking out the footage from their Ring camera, they discovered Hazel’s brilliant strategy.
