CHERRY HILL, NJ — Furry residents in and round Cherry Hill have a brand new place to play.
The canine park at Cooper River Park has been renovated. The new area options separate sections for dogs of various sizes, together with agility gear, benches and picnic tables. Thursday marked the park’s grand opening.
Construction started final fall, starting with the demolition of the prior canine park. The Camden County Parks Department allotted $775,000 for the renovation.

Renovating the canine park included the next work:

- Constructing a brand new canine park full with separate fenced areas for small dogs, massive dogs and agility gear, together with a pavilion, benches, and picnic tables for spectator viewing.
- Constructing car parking zone enhancements, together with a brand new stone entrance, concrete ADA parking areas and parts of recent concrete curbing.
- Construction of recent concrete sidewalks, offering direct connections to the canine park entrance and consider space, present asphalt walk and parking space.
- Installation of recent regulatory and warning indicators.
