A police canine on evening patrol together with his police constable handler helped catch a suspected burglar.
PD Quga, a German Shepherd, was deployed to catch the suspect following a report of a housebreaking on Red Lion Close in Maghull within the early hours of this morning, April 26.
The suspect was seen leaving the scene on a motorbike, using towards the Red Lion Bridge on the close by Leeds-Liverpool Canal. He was adopted by two different males on foot who have been carrying balaclavas.

Police carried out a search of the realm, and a constable on patrol with PD Quga noticed the suspect from a canal bridge. The suspected burglar rode again in the direction of PD Quga and the police officer, at which level the officer challenged him with Quga and acquired the suspect to lie on the bottom.
Following a search, numerous stolen gadgets have been discovered within the man’s possession, together with a Dewalt radio, Ray-Ban sun shades, a blue Carrera mountain bike and a hacksaw.
A 33-year-old man from Kirkby was arrested on suspicion of two counts of housebreaking, theft from a motorized vehicle and going geared up for theft. He was taken into custody for interview.
