Early riser applications motivated for Moray Council garden waste allows

MORAY homeowners are being motivated to buy their garden waste allows by March 5.

The £36 authorization should be shown on brown bins if they include garden waste.

Those just consisting of food waste do not need a license. A different authorization is needed for each extra garden waste bin.

The March 5 due date will ensure shipment by April 1, with licenses being sent in batches from week start March 20.

Allows can be purchased online at any time of the year, nevertheless they stand from April 1, 2023 till March 31, 2024. Licenses stand for the property they are purchased for just, they cannot be moved to another property.

Permit-holders are advised there are no brown bin collections over Christmas and brand-new year.

Moray Council’s Waste Supervisor, Mike Neary, stated: “We want to make sure residents get their permits in time for them to start being valid on April 1 so would encourage everyone who needs one to go online and complete the form.

“The online ordering process has been simplified even further this year so it’s as straightforward as possible.”
