Further key phrase searches on TikTok sister app Douyin discovered the same video uploaded on November 17, 2022, which recognized the chicken as a fire-breasted flowerpecker (archived hyperlinks here and here).
The simplified Chinese caption added the scene was filmed in Chengdu’s Huanhuaxi Park.
AFP confirmed the video was filmed in Huanhuaxi Park by evaluating the video to a photograph of the park on Google Maps.
YouTube movies of the park here and here additionally resemble the scene within the video.
Keyword searches on Douyin for “fire-breasted flowerpecker” and “Huanhuaxi Park” discovered related videos from November 2022 displaying crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the chicken (archived link).
