Harriet Hunt and her Greenacres rescue dog Grace completed for group Wales for the 2nd time at the competitors in Ermelo.
The set completed all week and all points built up ranked Harriett and Grace second worldwide, bringing home a Silver medal for Wales. They likewise came 7th worldwide in the Games classification.
This included a snooker difficulty where they needed to pick dives in the exact same colour and series as a snooker video game, and bettors where they needed to pick the dives and tunnels that would provide the most points prior to selecting a finishing series that would either make or break them.
“They did really well,” said happy mum Kerry. “Grace is establishing truly well.”
“At that level you are talking the crème de la crème. A lot of the dogs are specifically bred to be agility dogs. There are a couple of rescue dogs in the Welsh team. The rest of the world can’t believe that they are rescue dogs.”
Harriet who owns and runs The Valley dog dexterity school in Trecwn, got collie cross Grace as a puppy from Greenacres Rescue Centre. She said that she might see her prospective immediately, as she had the right build and mindset.
“I am just very pleased with Grace, she has done so well, especially as she is a rescue” said Harriet on the set’s success.
A representative for the Welsh group said.
“Our junior Harriett Hunt has won the overall junior silver medal. It is her last year in juniors and she smashes it once again, the team are incredibly proud of her and her wonderful dog Grace.”
Harriet and Grace will go on to complete in programs all over the nation this summertime prior to trying for the Welsh adult group in September.
“Hopefully we will get selected,” said Harriet.
