Brandy (main image), a husky mix, arrived at RSPCA Millbrook Animal Centre with her four siblings in September last year. Despite being the most confident of the litter she is still waiting to be adopted while all of her siblings have found new loving homes.

Kate MacNeill, Behaviour and Welfare advisor at the centre said: “Brandy had no experience of the outside world and was worried when she first came to us. Now Brandy loves the people she knows, it just takes a few meets for her to get to know people.

“More importantly she loves other dogs, so would be a great second dog with a neutered dog. She could live with children 14 yrs plus. She will need her own secure garden. She will need someone based at home and will need housetraining and car travel training. She has not been in a car much at all so adopters will need to be fairly local.

“She can be strong on the lead, so needs adopters that can hold her and also give her lots of exercise and mental stimulation as she is very active and extremely bright. She would love to do something like agility once she is more settled and more confident.”

Mastiff type Diva is also hoping to find her forever family. The one year-old was signed over to the RSPCA with some of her puppies in August last year.

Kate says: “Diva is a lovely girl, she is a friendly giant. She loves playing with toys and is learning some basic training. She is big and can be strong on the lead, so we are looking for an experienced large breed home.

“She does need to be an only dog, will need her own secure garden and could live with children of secondary school age. She will need someone based at home and a gradual build up to being left. She may need housetraining and car travel training.”
