I've been skating since I was a kid. Recently though I got a malinois puppy and he had hella energy. So I took my board with me on a walk and he instantly loved pulling me. And now that he has an outlet for his energy he's more obedient and easyer to train. He picks up comands way faster

Can anybody tell me how to stop the dogs from chasing squirrels. Im going back at it as soon as I leave the hospital.

Started doing this with my 8 month rescue pup and he was a natural. Did a DNA test on him recently and it turns out he’s half husky which I should have guessed. I also switched to an electric longboard for our rides which has been a huge game changer. Way more safe for both of us having the option to brake. Also the more I use the throttle the faster he wants to to run. Lots of fun. Great advice in the video I will definitely give the pulling leash a try as well as the wax. Also I love the commands and am gonna start teaching them to him!

My pomsky loves rides with the electric longboard! The brakes are a huge help and he’s learned to go fast when he hears the motors revving up! Great way to get him exercise and we go for miles!

just start with E-sk8, u can brake when needed and speed up if needed.. no reason for the dog to pull.

Thanks for the CRUCIAL information! My husky pup is only about 4 months old. Although he’s pretty big, I didn’t know that the 1 year mark is when you should wait before you try something like this. I’ll just get a long board and practice riding until he’s old enough to join me. Thanks again!!

Do not recommend attaching the leash to a neck collar ever. Even during normal walks. If the dog pulls too hard and sharp even once it can collapse the trachea so I would only ever recommend attaching a leash to a chest/body harness.

I’m starting my second dog on skateboard training she is only 4 months so I bought an electric skateboard so she didn’t have to pull but learns how to keep tempo. It was a fantastic but! She is half pit bull half Dalmatian so she has a lot of energy. Thanks for the awesome video!

Need to watch out when they need to poop. Skating really gets their gut working so if they start slowing down and trying to like "drive by" sniff, they probably need to poop.

Get a proper harness meant for pulling, if it’s pulling on their shoulder blades like the one in this video it can hurt them in the long run. Dog sledding/Crossback harnesses are meant for pulling and put the pressure in the proper areas where harnesses like this are meant more for keeping your dog under control.

I use my Australian cattle dog, it’s her “job” and anyone who knows Australian cattle dogs know they focus and put in 100% into what their job is and distractions won’t matter when they’re performing their job. (Very much like huskies but for the desert)

my Red Australian cattle dog was doing it before (he’s 7 and now his hips acting up anyway but that’s not the reason I got another pup)

My mums girlfriend snapped my skateboard so until my new longboard gets here I’m just here watching people skate with their dogs

I use a longboard and I recommend getting tandrum axels for any board you use while doing this

My wrinkly man absolutely loves going for skateboards with me !! I actually have a front clipping harness, because I think it's much more safer & personally i don't think it's good for their joints to "pull " when Skateboarding, it's best if they ride next to you , additionally it's terrifying when they just keep pulling, they can sprint SO fast , it's pretty dangerous 🤣🤣

Your dog is super well trained ! My dog is too, but not quite enough, one he starts pulling, he just doesn't want to stop, hence my front clipping harness , it all happens so fast and 🤣

My dog is an outside you see his muscles in his legs just when he’s standing but problem is I taught him to always ride beside me I’m doing this for my rollar hlafes
