A hiker in Chino Hills State Park was hospitalized Tuesday after she was bitten by a snake on Bane Canyon Loop Trail, according to the Chino Valley Fire District.
“The patient was transported in stable condition to an area hospital for further care,” fire district spokesperson Massiel Ladron De Guevara said..
A San Bernardino County helicopter was utilized to help rescue the unknown female, who remained in a remote area of the park when she was bitten by the snake at 1:51 p.m., Ms. De Guevara said.
The spokesperson couldn’t validate if the snake in today’s occurrence was a rattlesnake.

She said hikers ought to look out for snakes that might be sunning themselves on rocks or routes.
