HOUSTON – A cops K-9 dog for the Houston Police Department passed away Monday from heat fatigue after the car the dog was left in all of a sudden switched off, authorities said.
Aron, a 4-year-old dog and 1½ year veteran with the Houston Police Department, was discovered “in distress” after his handler went back to the car and found the engine had actually turned off.
