Pensioner, 88, dies in hospital after being struck by automotive whereas walking canine on the A768 in Loanhead

An 88-year-old man has died in hospital days after being struck by a automotive whereas walking his canine in Loanhead.

The incident occurred round 7am on Tuesday December 19 at Knivensknowe Road and concerned the person, who was a pedestrian, and a Honda Civic automotive.

The pensioner was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, the place he died because of accidents on Saturday December 23.

He was walking his canine on the time of the collision, which has additionally since handed away.

The male driver of the automotive didn’t require medical therapy.

Sergeant Grant Hastie of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit stated: “Our investigation into the circumstances of this collision are ongoing and our ideas are with the person’s household and buddies at this tough time.
