A canine was fatally shot whereas sitting on her proprietor’s porch in Minnesota, the household mentioned.

On March 30, deputies with Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office had been dispatched to South Bend Township, in line with a submit on Facebook.

“Lily Anne was the best dog in the world and there’s nothing you can do to change my mind,” Lily’s proprietor Alyssa DeBill mentioned in a March 31 Facebook submit. “She gave the best kisses & snuggles.”

While investigating, a neighbor advised deputies they had been outdoors once they heard two gunshots, officers mentioned.

DeBill mentioned her two stepsons had been in the lounge of her two-story home when Lily was fatally shot within the chest, in line with her Facebook submit.

Deputies realized somebody had left a “threatening” notice on DeBill’s door saying to “keep their dogs from barking,” officers mentioned.

DeBill plans to have Lily cremated so the complete “family can have a piece of her with them always,” a GoFundMe web page mentioned.

“She truly was the best girl,” DeBill mentioned.

The investigation stays ongoing and anybody with info is requested to name 507-304-4863, deputies mentioned.
