But dog trainer Jamie, from Australia, has revealed three dog breeds he would never own to help narrow down your choice.

Jamie has gained over 30,000 followers and over 600k likes on the video sharing app TikTok.

In a recent video, the dog trainer said: “Three breeds that as a dog trainer, I would never own.”

first on the list was the Boxer, Jamie said he cannot take this dog breed seriously.

“These dogs’ whole life is basically a walking meme,” he added: “So much so that I’m not able to take these dogs seriously at all.”

He added that Boxers were ‘goofy’ and the ‘class clowns’ of the dog world and while he likes them from afar, he would never be able to live with one.

However, Jamie did note: “They’re actually super athletic and easy to train.

“But a Boxer is kind of like that mate that’s always doing practical jokes and after a while, everyone thinks he’s a bit of a d**k even though everyone loves him.”

The next dog breed Jamie would never own is a Beagle, mainly because of their loud bark.

He said: Great looking dogs, absolutely horrible bark.”

He added that they were super independent which made them difficult to train and for these reasons would never own one.

Finally, Jamie revealed he would never own a Shar Pei breed of dog.

The dog trainer said: “It’s just not for me, they are typically quite hard to train, they don’t like strangers or new dogs mainly.

“And they kind of remind me of Grimer and Muk the Pokemon.”

The video soon went viral with over 700k views and 16,000 likes.

Many people shared their thoughts in the comments section of the video.

One wrote: “Beagle owner here, yes very independent and follow their nose. Super smart and cheeky.”

A second person commented: “Imagine not wanting a boxer because they make you laugh. My boxer is 12 years old and she’s been the best companion.”

“You just completely sold me on getting a boxer,” penned a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “We have a Shar Pei.. we love him, mostly. But we would never own another one after him.”
