Halloween skeleton canine stolen from St. Clair Shores business – Macomb Day by day

After a skeleton canine ornament was stolen from a St. Clair Shores business, a pal of the proprietor supplied a alternative.

“When I heard that the theme for the last social district of the season was Skelebration, I had the idea to have a skeleton person walking a skeleton dog,” Schram stated. “The original dog had a collar that matched the shirt on the skeleton too.”

Schram additionally took it to social media and requested if anybody who might need seen the doggy skeleton may return it.

“I also put up a little sign out front with the skeleton saying we were missing our lost dog,” Schram stated.

Within a day, Patti Martin, who’s a pal of business proprietor David Gilboe, saved the day. Martin purchased a brand new canine skeleton and introduced it to Schram and Gilboe.

“It wasn’t just the dog, but tie downs and everything to keep it secure so hopefully, this one isn’t going anywhere,” stated Gilboe.

Schram’s unique skeleton pup continues to be on the free.

“It was just so kind that someone would do this for us and buy another dog for us,” stated Schram. “This is a Halloween story that isn’t scary and has a happy ending.”

The Skelebration social district begins at 5 p.m. and consists of dwell music, a child zone, face portray, meals vehicles and extra. Greater Mack will probably be closed between Nine Mile Road and Cavalier Drive in the course of the occasion.
