Four puppies have been rescued in County Clare after being noticed by a passer-by on a freezing evening.
Volunteers at Clare Animal Welfare shared the images of 4 Collie puppies who they believed have been dumped.
Clare Animal Welfare defined the puppies are about 4 months old and so they have been discovered on the evening of January 15 by a girl who was walking her canine.
The puppies have been initially very scared as Clare Animal Welfare defined: “On Monday night a lady brought her dog out before bed and heard a noise from the cattle pen. Huddled in the corner were four puppies staring up at her. They all scattered and hid in under cars trembling and scared.
“Thankfully they came back out for food because they were starving. If they hadn’t been found they would have been out all night in sub-zero temperatures. It’s hard to understand how someone could do that to these vulnerable little souls”.
However, they warmed up shortly and Clare Animal Welfare described them as “friendly and happy”.
The puppies, who at the moment are within the care of Clare Animal Welfare’s volunteers, have been microchipped, bought their first vaccination, and are up for adoption.
Clare Animal Welfare added the puppies are two males and two females, and so they named them ‘the Chocolate pups’: Buttons, Aero, Wispa and Curly Wurly.
Clare Animal Welfare mentioned: “These bubbas are looking for loving homes. Collies are an intelligent and active breed and will need families who are committed to training and providing enrichment. Happily they are all friendly and happy little ones.”
