A resident was pressured to evacuate, and a canine was rescued from a home in Denton County after a hearth erupted within the connected storage Saturday afternoon.
The Denton County Emergency Services District #1 stated at round 4:38 p.m., it responded to a construction hearth within the 1600 block of Rachel Street in Northlake with a person nonetheless inside.
When firefighters arrived on the home, they reported seeing smoke and hearth coming from the storage.
After emergency personnel swept the home, they realized that the resident obtained out safely. Fire officers stated they have been in a position to save the resident’s canine from the yard.
The home obtained heavy hearth injury to the storage and attic. Thankfully, no accidents have been reported. Fire crews stated they have been in a position to extinguish the flames at 5:08 p.m.
The Denton County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating what brought about the fireplace.
