DURHAM, N.C. — A fire Saturday in Durham burned a single-family home.
According to the Durham Fire Department, firemens reacted to a structure fire on the 200 block of Ruby Ridge Road prior to 3 p.m.
When firemens got here to the home, they might see smoke and flames from the roofing system and back of the home.
No one was home at the time, however firemens did verify one dog was rescued from the home and dealt with by Durham County EMS for small smoke inhalation.
Authorities said the home sustained substantial fire, smoke and water damage.
Two grownups were displaced and are presently being helped by the Red Cross.
The reason for the fire is presently under examination.
