Delaware Animal Services (DAS), the enforcement unit throughout the Office of Animal Welfare, proclaims the arrest of a person and a woman concerned in an animal cruelty case.
On Aug. 25, 2023, Delaware State Police (DSP) Troop 7 acquired a tip from a involved citizen that Dillon Hensey, age 32, and his spouse, Chelsie Puckett, age 33, have been seen within the parking zone of 19791 Coastal Hwy Rehoboth Beach, Del. DSP responded to the realm and positioned Hensey and Puckett parked of their SUV. Delaware Animal Services responded to help with the arrest. Upon arrival, animal welfare officers discovered 14 extra dogs residing within the couple’s SUV. The car was stuffed with trash, feces and particles. The 14 dogs have been seized by animal welfare officers and transported to Brandywine Valley SPCA (BVSPCA) for care.
