GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Tequila Atkins lit a dog on fire after she got in an argument with her sweetheart.
Atkins’ sweetheart kept 2 canines in her belongings at their homeless camp in between a Walgreens near Waldo Roadway and University Opportunity.
Atkins’ partner left the scene after the argument and while she was gone, Atkins informed a witness to “see this.”
She then connected the canines to a tree, put lighter fluid on them, then lit among them on fire.
Both canines made it through and are under the care of Alachua County Animal Providers.
The dog that was burned suffered “distressing” injuries and whether it will make it through is unidentified. A representative with ACAS informed television 20 the dog’s condition is “really touch-and-go.”
