A grandma and her 12-year-old grand son were seriously hurt after being savaged by a dog at a UK vacation park.

Cheryl May says she was “traumatised” after she and her grand son, Zac, were assaulted while taking pleasure in a night at St Ives Holiday Park in Cornwall recently.

The set had actually been at the website playing bingo and were leaving when the dog, believed to be a British bull terrier, set upon them on Wednesday night.

“My grand son had actually chosen me a stick that day due to the fact that I’ve got arthritis in my knee and I’m waiting on an operation which has actually been cancelled,” Cheryl informed Cornwall Live.

“All of an abrupt we searched for and this dog came towards us and he went directly for Zac.”

Devon and Cornwall Police are now examining the attack.

Cheryl’s child Natalie hurried to help the set and was thankfully able to eliminate off the animal, just for it to switch on her.
