MESA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — A domestic violence suspect is implicated of beating his sweetheart and completely abusing and drowning her kitten in Mesa on Monday. Police were contacted us to a home after a lady said her auntie and auntie’s sweetheart, 24-year-old Nestor Rodriguez, were arguing and combating. The caller said Rodriguez threatened to shoot law enforcement officer if they appeared, private investigators said. Officers got to the home and discovered Rodriguez and the victim in the entrance. Court files state the victim was sobbing, frenzied and had a big injury on her leg.
Officers talked to the victim’s niece, who was the one to call 911. She apparently informed officers she received numerous texts from the victim stating, “911″ before driving to the home. She arrived to find Rodriguez screaming and saying, “The cat’s dead,” cops said. The niece saw a dead, wet kitten in the sink and attempted calling 911. However, court documentation says Rodriguez shrieked in her face, tossed her phone versus a wall and obstructed the front door so neither female might leave. The niece left through a side door and went to a close-by house to call 911.
Court files state the victim and Rodriguez remained in a relationship for numerous months, however he struck her numerous times over the previous couple of weeks. She informed cops she and Rodriguez entered into an argument when she said she was going to leave. However, private investigators said that Rodriguez then shrieked in her face and slapped and dragged her by her hair. He then tortured, drowned and killed the kitten while threatening her if she attempted to leave, cops said. The victim then texted her niece, asking her to call 911 prior to Rodriguez took her phone.
Investigators state Rodriguez likewise beat the victim with a metal things, triggering the injury to her leg. The victim informed cops Rodriguez struck her so hard the product broke, according to court documentation. He was collared and declined to talk to cops. His packed weapon was discovered on the sofa in the living-room, cops said.
Police state Rodriguez has a violent criminal history and was likewise formerly apprehended in Texas and Florida. He was booked on 3 counts of disorderly conduct, 2 counts of kidnapping, one count of worsened attack, one count of belongings of a weapon by a forbidden holder, one count of belongings of a fatal weapon, one count of animal cruelty, 2 counts of criminal damage, 2 counts of attack and 2 counts of disrupting an emergency situation.
