A baby died after being attacked by a canine on Halloween evening, in line with the Spokane Police Department (SPD).

The SPD says at round 8 p.m., officers responded to a report of an animal attack inside a home close to the nook of N Nevada St. and E Walton Ave. in Spokane.

Officers arrived and located the small little one had been attacked by the household’s canine. Officers and emergency crews instantly started treating the kid, however regardless of their efforts, the kid died.

Authorities stated the household severely injured the canine as they had been attempting to guard the kid. According to the SPD, the canine was severely injured and past assist when authorities arrived, so that they euthanized the animal on the scene.

The SPD says there have been no indicators of criminality concerned within the incident, as an alternative, it was decided to be a tragic accident. The incident was additionally not associated to any trick-or-treating exercise.
