APPLETON — The Fox Valley Humane Association is searching for donations to take care of 28 dogs who have been rescued from a home in Chilton.
The first six dogs of the group are available for adoption starting Thursday, the humane society announced on Facebook.
On Jan. 16, humane society employees labored with regulation enforcement and the Calumet County Health Department to rescue 28 dogs and one cat from a home on Graves Street, Calumet County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derek Bries stated.
Brenda Leick, director of improvement on the Fox Valley Humane Association, stated the rescue was scheduled to take place just a few days later, however when the humane society realized a few of the dogs have been dying, they jumped into motion sooner.
Leick stated some dogs died earlier than rescuers have been in a position to get there.
