LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5/Gray News) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is examining a home intrusion of an Instagram influencer in which intruders sprayed a dog with mace and transported off with designer losers.
Police are working to learn if the victim was targeted by a social networks fan.
Liziane Gutierrez has 1.2 million Instagram fans. FOX5 covered her journey in the past as she offered to assist refugees in Ukraine.
While at the health club one day, Gutierrez says intruders got into her West Valley home.
Surveillance video reveals the people inside the home as Duchess the dog approached. One of them sprayed the dog with mace consistently.
The intruders went upstairs and, within minutes, transported off with designer bags and fashion jewelry.
“They took most everything that I have, but this is nothing compared to what she’s going through. How do you do this to a puppy?,” Gutierrez said.
Duchess has actually been going to the vet and is on medications. Gutierrez hopes she can keep her dog’s sight and keep her eyes.
“Every time I see the footage, my heart is in pieces. She’s my baby,” Gutierrez included.
Las Vegas authorities’s Summerlin Area Command might not state yet whether the offenders targeted the female’s home due to the fact that of her occupation or if they got into other homes in the area.
“Now everything changed,” Gutierrez said. “A lot of people watch us to target us.”
Officers recommend homeowners to have an alarm, lock all windows and doors firmly, and close the blinds while out of the home.
