Police say a 2-year-old lady who walked away from her home in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with two household dogs was discovered hours later asleep within the woods utilizing one of many canines as a furry pillow
FAITHORN, Mich. — A 2-year-old lady who walked away from her home in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula alongside two household dogs was discovered within the woods hours later sleeping on the smaller canine like a furry pillow, state police stated.
“She laid down and used one of the dogs as a pillow, and the other dog laid right next to her and kept her safe,” Lt. Mark Giannunzio stated Thursday. “It’s a really remarkable story.”
Troopers used drones and police dogs within the search whereas native police and residents from each Michigan and adjoining Wisconsin helped search for the lady within the distant wooded space.
Troopers from Michigan State Police’s Iron Mountain put up had been referred to as to a home within the Faithorn space of Menominee County about 8 p.m. Wednesday after the lady wandered away.
Around midnight, a citizen on an ATV discovered the lady about 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) from her home, state police stated.
Giannunzio stated the lady was checked by medical workers and seemed to be in good well being.
