Two guys and their dog were rescued on Thursday after their boat capsized off the coast of Powell River, B.C.

At about 3 p.m. PT on March 30, rescuers reacted to a 911 call from an 87-year-old man and his boy, reporting that their boat had actually turned about 800 metres west of Powell River, situated on the B.C. mainland about 40 kilometres east of Courtenay on Vancouver Island and 170 kilometres north of Vancouver. 

The guys had actually been out fishing when their boat’s motor passed away, and their boat consequently turned in rough seas. Both guys and their dog wound up in the freezing Pacific Ocean.
