A 3–month-old kitten was present in a driveway on Foster Street in Everett Monday evening, officers mentioned.
But this wasn’t your common misplaced kitten. This gray and white cutie, with a small coronary heart for a nostril, is a fashionista.
Around 6:30 p.m., just a little woman taking part in on a playground on the close by Albert N. Parlin School discovered the kitten “curled up in a ball” and sporting a white costume with strawberries on it, mentioned Stacia Gorgone, Everett’s animal management officer.
“That’s definitely a first for me,” Gorgone mentioned. “Typically a cat like this would be a stray. But with a dress on, we know it has an owner.”
The woman instantly known as the kitten Strawberry. Gorgone requested across the neighborhood and knocked on doorways, however she couldn’t discover its proprietor. As of Tuesday morning, nobody has claimed Strawberry, she mentioned.
“No one called, which is shocking,” she mentioned. “It’s a very sweet, declawed kitten. I’m going to assume someone is really missing this kitten.”
Strawberry, who is “very stressed out,” is staying with Gorgone for now. She will hold her for seven days, and if the proprietor doesn’t come ahead, Gorgone will put her up for adoption.
Over a dozen individuals have already emailed her to ask about adopting Strawberry. But the little woman who discovered and named the kitten requested to be first in line.
In the meantime, Gorgone and the police are asking anybody with data to name Everett Police Dispatch at 617-387-1212 or electronic mail [email protected].
