Braintree District Council hosted a ‘Dog Day’ in Halstead Public Gardens as a part of the Halstead Safer Streets programme on Saturday 20 April.
A complete of 49 new members signed as much as Dogwatch on the occasion, an Essex Police initiative that encourages canine homeowners to report something uncommon they spot as a part of their every day canine walks.
Over 200 folks attended the occasion, visiting the stalls and collaborating within the enjoyable household canine present and kids’s canine path.
Visitors may discuss to native companies equivalent to Essex Police, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, Essex Therapy Dogs, Dogs Trust, Danaher Animal Home, United in Kind, Halstead Leisure Centre, Grow with the Flow and native businesses equivalent to Pup Chic Boutique and Paws, Chores and Snores.
Councillor Mary Cunningham, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities at Braintree District Council, mentioned: “It’s fantastic to see that the local community engaged with this event and the opportunity to find out more about the Safer Streets Project in Halstead as well as sign up for the Dogwatch scheme.”
