ASHEBORO, N.C. (WITN) – A zoo desires help choosing the names of these 3 mighty, and charming, desert kittens.
The North Carolina Zoo is searching for input from the general public on what to call the brand-new triplet sand cats that were born upon May 11th.
There are 2 women and one male.
The following are the alternatives for the women. The leading 2 choices will be offered to the female kittens:
- Cleo (Cleopatra): Iconic Queen of Egypt, a Greek name significance “glory of the father”
- Amira (“Uh-MEER-uh”): Arabic name significance “princess”
- Cyra (“SEER-uh”): Persian name significance “sun” or “throne”
- Morning (”Suh-FEE-yuh): Arabic name significance “pure” or “friend”
- Nora: (“NOO-Rah”): Arabic variation/spelling for name significance “light” or “the divine light”
And the following are the possible names for the male kitten:
- Konshu (“CON-shoe”): ancient Egyptian god of the moon): Also, the god of youth and recovery
- Jabari (“Jah-BAH-ree”): Arabic, brave/fearless): Swahili origin significance “valiant, the brave one, fearless”
- Horus (“HOR-uhs”): ancient Egyptian god of the sky): Represents qualities such as power and strength
