HAMILTON, Ohio — Authorities in southwest Ohio are looking for a person who captured a cat in a plastic rubbish bag after which slammed the bag to the bottom in an incident captured on surveillance video.
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones says the suspect was seen chasing the cat into an residence advanced building on Jan. 24 in Hamilton. The man manages to place a bag over the cat and choose it up, however then slams the bag to the bottom.
“What we have here today is a very, very disturbing video,” Jones says in a web-based publish. The publish contains video of the incident, which is likely to be disturbing to some viewers.
Jones says the person dumped the bag with the cat behind the building. The cat was discovered by a Butler County deputy canine warden the subsequent day. It was alive however injured, Jones says.
An official with the canine warden’s workplace says the cat suffered a fractured pelvis and a fractured backbone. The cat needed to be euthanized due to its accidents.
“Listen, pets are among us, you take care of your pets,” Jones says. “You don’t abuse pets, cats, dogs, horses, any of these things. … This is ridiculous. We’re not that kind of people.”
