On Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at roughly 6:45 pm, the Craven County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Colonial Capital Humane Society in reference to a larceny that occurred earlier within the day. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with volunteers, who acknowledged a female and male stole a cat from their facility.
Camera footage obtained from the Colonial Capital Humane Society exhibits a female and male arriving on the facility in a beige 4 door sedan. They walked to the building that homes cats and entered the viewing space to fulfill cats that have been available for adoption. While the female and male seen the available cats, the volunteer exited the room to help others who have been there to undertake a cat. At that point, the female and male may be seen exiting the ability carrying a black cat whereas rapidly making their strategy to their automobile. The couple entered their car and departed from the services car parking zone with the cat.
