German police busted an alleged unlawful animal transport after officers heard the whining of 18 kittens from the bags space of a bus throughout an inspection.
The 12-week-old kittens had been discovered crammed into six containers and have now been placed with an animal shelter, police introduced on Friday.
The 37-year-old proprietor of the kittens is going through prices of fraud and violation of Germany’s Animal Health Act. According to police, the person offered solid vaccination data for the kittens after travelling with them throughout the German-Czech border on Thursday night.
After the inspection of the bus and discovery of the kittens, he reportedly advised police that he was attempting to move the animals to Paris for an acquaintance.
German legislation prohibits the import of significantly young animals and likewise requires animal vaccinations for imported animals, police mentioned.
The cease occurred alongside the A6 motorway in southern Germany close to the Bavarian city of Waidhaus.
