Mountain of ‘disgusting’ canine poo getting ‘smellier’ by the day

A canine poo waste bin by a play park is alleged to have been left unemptied for a lot too lengthy, and getting smellier by the day. A canine poo bag mountain has grown as canine walkers have left the waste by the aspect of the bins, and it appears as they’ve executed for some time.

Three bins on the Yew Tree Gardens property in Tuffley are all claimed to be overflowing with canine waste. Despite stories to Gloucester City Council, the bins haven’t been emptied because the council has not adopted the land, so it’s all the way down to the developer to empty the bins.

Bert Mahoney, 55 from Tuffley stated: “Nobody is taking duty for the canine waste bins. They have been reported to the council as an well being problem and environmental drawback, and the bin is true by a play park.

“There are about three bins within the space prefer it. The residents have put out bins for themselves for the canine waste luggage.

“I’ve been involved with the council who’ve stated they haven’t adopted the land within the space but, and they’re saying they nonetheless within the palms of the builders.

“Residents have reported the overflowing canine waste bins many many occasions but they’re getting nowhere quick. It is disgusting and to not point out smelly too.”

The property developer, Persimmon, have stated they will see motion is taken to empty the bins. The devloper has tasked an organization to hold out the work, and it’s hoped the bins will likely be emptied quickly.

A Persimmon Homes spokesperson stated: “We’re grateful that this issue has been brought to our attention and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.

“We are currently in the process of transferring the management responsibilities of the Public Open Space to the resident management company, which includes the maintenance and emptying of the dog waste bins

“During the interim period of this transition, we had contracted the Managing Agent to ensure the bins were emptied. Unfortunately, their contractors did not fulfil this duty as expected.

“We have taken immediate action to address this issue and have escalated the matter within the management company to ensure bins are emptied without further delay.”

Mr Mahoney is standing for election as an unbiased councillor for the Gloucester City Council elections for the Tuffley ward on Thursday (May 2). Other candidates are: Barron, Lysander Coriolanus Theodore – Labour Party; Campbell, Lorraine Joan – Conservative Party; Courtney, Caroline Catherine – Liberal Democrat; Dee, Paula Lorraine – Conservative Party; Groves, Lewis James – Labour Party; Hanley, Joshua – Liberal Democrat; Mahoney, Bert – Independent
