Marvel actor Jeremy Renner was airlifted to hospital on Sunday after his snow plow lost control and ran over his leg while he tried to clear a path out of his Lake Tahoe home, it has been revealed. 

Renner, 51, remains in critical but stable condition in a hospital in Nevada. Police were called to his palatial home on Sunday shortly after 9.30am. 

TMZ reports that the actor was outside of the vehicle – a Snow Cat – when it somehow lost control and ran him over. 

He was alone at the time, police previously revealed.

A neighbor who is a doctor rushed to help after becoming aware of the accident, fixing a tourniquet on his leg before the air ambulance arrived. 

He lost a significant amount of blood before being airlifted out of the area. 

The actor’s representatives confirmed yesterday that his family was with him in the hospital. 

‘We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today.

‘His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.’
