ANIMAL lovers throughout the north-east are being urged to assist make this Christmas a particular one for Pets within the care of the Scottish SPCA.
The charity is interesting for donations of meals and different gadgets to their Aberdeenshire centre to make sure the animals of their care have a cheerful Yuletide.
Among the gadgets the centre wants are canine and cat meals to maintain animals fed and joyful this festive season whereas they look ahead to a ceaselessly home.
Scottish SPCA head of rehabilitation operations, Jennie Macdonald, mentioned, “Our centres are busier than ever this Christmas with many operating close to, or at, capacity.
“As many of the animals in our care have sensitive tummies we try to keep their diet consistent so the Aberdeenshire centre is looking for specific brands of food.
“They are in particular need of Felix or Whiskas kitten meat in jelly.
“You can see what the centre is most in need of by checking their Amazon wishlist and either ordering through Amazon or ordering the same product through another retailer offering delivery or in person at a store.
“If you are donating items in person please pop along to centre reception between 11am and 3pm and let the centre know the donations are for the Christmas appeal.
“We know times are tough for everyone but we’d be so grateful for anything anyone can spare this Christmas and know our animals will be too.”
