Bird flu present in cows in six states; Cornell researchers examine

Cornell University researchers are investigating a pressure of hen flu that has manifested in cattle in six states.

The hen flu beforehand confirmed in solely wild birds, business birds and carnivorous wildlife comparable to foxes and marine animals, stated Elisha Frye, a veterinarian and assistant professor.

Cattle in Texas, Kansas, Idaho, New Mexico, Michigan and Ohio have contracted the virus, Frye stated.

Diego Diel, an affiliate professor and the director of the virology lab within the Animal Health Diagnostics Center, stated it stays potential that the hen flu will unfold to cattle in further states.

Texas has the biggest variety of cattle contaminated with the virus.
