High elevation Adirondack bird species have declined in population over the last decade.
That’s according to a new report from the Vermont Center for Ecostudies.
Bicknell’s thrush, white-throated sparrow and winter wren populations have declined by 40 % since 2010.
Those birds want to dwell at increased elevations with cooler temperatures, that are disappearing as a consequence of rising temperatures and local weather change.
