Jacob Elordi performs Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, a movie that chronicles the lifetime of Priscilla Presley and the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
While making an look on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, the Euphoria actor stated that his solely reference to Elvis previous to portraying the performer was from the Disney animated film Lilo & Stitch.

“The most I knew of Elvis was in Lilo & Stitch,” Elordi informed the NBC late-night present host.
The Australian actor stated that portraying Elvis within the movie “wasn’t on my list of people to play. It was definitely — it was a little bit terrifying.
Elordi also talked about his audition process saying that he didn’t feel he had a chance to get the part. However, he saw a clip of the singer as he came back from the army in Germany “And I read the lines for like 15 minutes and then show two takes… not thinking that it would go anywhere.”
The actor stated that the prospect of working with an acclaimed director like Coppola was “exciting” and says it was “pure bliss.” “That was the only reason — the whole time I was trying to take it like I was making Blue Valentine or something. Just like a straight-up relationship drama without Elvis and Priscilla for Sofia Coppola. That was like the goal,” he added.
Lilo & Stitch is an animated movie that was launched in 2002 and co-directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. The film revolves round two siblings who misplaced their mother and father and an extraterrestrial engineered to trigger chaos and destruction who’s adopted as their pet. The movie’s soundtrack options songs from Elvis all through.
