Two budgies have been found deserted by a charity clothes financial institution in Midlothian.
The birds have been discovered by a member of the general public in Cameron Crescent, Bonnyrigg on Thursday November 2.
They have been found in a cage that was coated by a plastic bag after the person heard chirping close to a clothes financial institution.
The budgies have been taken to a close-by vet the place considered one of them later died.
The remaining budgie is being cared for at one of many Scottish SPCA’s animal rescue and rehoming centres.
Senior Inspector Jenny Scott stated, “The budgies have been present in a tiny cage coated with a plastic bag. They had been left beside a charity clothes bin in chilly and wet circumstances with no meals or water.
“Thankfully a member of the general public discovered them mid-morning and took them to a close-by vet. However, sadly one of many budgies later died.
“We recognize that whoever left the budgies could have meant for them to be discovered however this isn’t the right means to surrender a pet for those who can now not look after them.
“The remaining budgie is now within the care of considered one of our animal rescue and rehoming centres.
