A social media publish of a small bull terrier combine desperately chasing its proprietor’s automotive struck a wire with canine lovers in Long Beach Wednesday.
“When I watched that video, it broke my heart,” stated Destiny Gomez, a 24-year-old canine lover who helps discover dogs properties. “I could not stop crying. I could not keep the dog out of my mind.”
Gomez messaged the lady who recorded the video, a meals supply driver who stated she noticed somebody from Lexus pushed the canine out of the automotive.
They adopted for blocks because the automotive drove off and the canine tried to leap again into the automotive. Finally at Cherry Ave and Pacific Coast Highway, the Lexus sped off and left the canine.
“The owner is literally leaving him… look! Oh my God,” stated the meals supply driver on the social media video. “Look, poor dog. The dog is just being left. Get your dog!”
Destiny began importing posts to instagram and to her community of canine lovers. Within hours, they discovered the canine.
“We also got coordinates of streets like where someone saw him, so they were like can you go there,” stated Gomez. “My boyfriend went and he actually found him next to this house.”
The two have been capable of safe the canine, feed him and groom him. They named him Chico and located a foster mother or father for him in Palos Verdes.
She remains to be searching for a perpetually home.
“Usually when I find a dog… I’ll reach out to rescues because that is the best option for that dog.”
