MIDFIELDER Mark Helm believed the Brewers might have quickly ruined the Plymouth promo celebration at Home Park today.
Albion lost a close video game 1-0 however Helm believed the Brewers might have made a point at the hardest location to go to in League One.
He said: “They are a good side, but I thought we were unlucky to fall just short today and we certainly had our chances. The lads dug in, were looking strong at the end and I thought we gave a good account of ourselves. They are well drilled; they know their jobs and what they are doing but it was only 1-0 and we could have had a goal.”
Helm says the lads understood it wasn’t going to be simple with more than 16,000 fans anticipating a promo celebration.
“We simply showed up and attempted to play our video game and attempted not to get slowed down in all the promo things. It’s difficult coming here (on days like this) however that’s part of football and you need to pertain to these challenging locations aiming to get outcomes.
“We made certain we were safe by winning at Lincoln and it might have been a various story today. We had fun with flexibility and I believe all the lads enjoyed it.
“After three away games we are looking forward now to being back at the Pirelli for the last two home games and we want to put in two great performances to finish the season.”
Helm applauded the 283 Albion fans who made the almost 500-mile big salami.
“It’s a fair trip but we appreciate all the fans who have come here today and all those who back us all the time and I hope they will turn out in numbers for the last two games at the Pirelli.”
