  1. I hate to admit it but I Yell an Scream at my dog!!
But I only due it because I get irritated an don’t mean too because he’ll just sit there an whine for nothing

  2. I feel terrible. I thought I was training him. When we go for walks he sees another dog and goes wild. I try to calm him but then it doesn’t work. A quick yell let’s me get his attention but I didn’t know how much damage I was causing. What do I do?

  3. my roommate yells at mostly my dog but hers as well… and then she gets mad at me when I get upset with her…. my dog starts kind of begging for her attention because she is fearful of my roommate… I have tried to talk with her on it… but so far she seems to like yelling

  4. I don't think that this is a simple answer. The truth of the matter is I've come to figure out that neither side is completely right neither side is completely wrong. There are gray areas if you getting firm with your dog and they're not listening they're trying to test you. That's when it's appropriate to yell. Case and point my mom swears up and down that my dog doesn't listen to me because I yell at it and that comes after telling it for me 4 times. But my mom firmly tells my dog 10 times not to go out when they got the garage open that dog doesn't listen to her. I get firm maybe two or three times once the third time doesn't work Mets win I yell. They are like a kids you have to know when it's appropriate to yelling should be a last resort but it shouldn't stop someone from doing it when the situation needs it my opinion eventually my dog listens to me contrary to what my mom says. Because in reality the dog doesn't listen to her. I believe it is true that you shouldn't just straight-up yell at your dog. Because then it will just be afraid of you but like children there are times when firmly telling them does not work and you have to get serious.

  5. I'm not saying that it helps a whole lot to yell at them but it helps sometimes. They can put two and two together. I have one dog running away and one that chews shoes. The one running away knows it's wrong as he tries to hide when he returns not to be yelled at. When I show the shoe they also look "ashamed" and know what they did is wrong. I would yell at them if I can't find the shoe to show them because then they wouldn't know what its all about.
