Puppy with tibial FX splinting and noncompliant customer recheck

My regular vet said they don’t have the equipment to do the dressing change what do I do ? I can’t afford to take her to the ER every week for a dressing change 🙁

My pups leg broke, it healed and now he can't bend it, it's kept straight wish I knew what we could do for him

Hi! My puppy (7 weeks) broke her right leg. She’s constantly trying to walk and I always have to lay her down properly so she doesn’t hurt herself more. Any hacks on how to make sure she avoids trying to walk? If any? I’ve just been supervising her

What really sucks is when your regular vet does a bad splint wrap and the self adherence tape slips down the splint and you have to re wrap it yourself because the only place open is the emergency vet that wants a min $800 just to bring her in. I found a great video that got me through all the details. I had to do it twice and had a hard time finding the right materials. It looks great and her toes are good. Hopefully good to make it to her other vet check. BTW her E collar is always on.

My 85 lb weim had a tibia fracture two weeks ago. I would be ASHAMED to bring her to her vet for bandage change with the splint looking like that!!! What a terrible owners.

Owners are ditzy but at least they care enough to go to a professional vet and do follow up. We should all breath a little easier for that.

Poor guy worked that cast over. He just knew it wasn't suppose to be there.
I don't like my pets to be on my furniture but I don't elbow them or throw them off when I catch them. I'll usually get onto them and put them in there carrier for their punishment for a half hour or so. Shame on Grandma.

How was his healing? Did you chew the client out for being so mean to their dog? I would have taken the dog away if possible. What a little cutie patootie. Was it a puppy or a full-grown dog?
