My piggie lives alone. His school had a bunch of piggies and this guy did NOT get along with ANY. So my son and I took him. He is quite noisy but he rarely purrs, he pretty much just squeals at me for food. the sound of my typing in the office somehow triggers his squealing. silly piggy. why does it seem like sometimes his little bum gets impacted? it always resolves but want toknow if this is common? Ive never had a piggie before and my BlackBerry is just the sweetest thing. I hope Im taking good care of him. I have him with a cage and puppy pen so he can run about in the office as I work. I think he might be too old for popcorning now. He used to do it a lot but has not done this in a long time. Its so cute.

My piggies are sadly not with me anymore, the first year I had them it was fine but then I started to become allergic to them, I tried wearing a mask and gloves but they made my throat swell, it was becoming to much of a risk to clean the cage every week we had to give them away, but they went to a great home and they have another piggie brother and are very happy

I don’t have any guinea pigs but I am trying to convince my parents to let me get them! If anyone has any tips to convince parents for pets please let me know! Love your channel Btw! 💖💜💕

I think any pet you have becomes harder to care for in the senior years. That is why there are so many senior dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. in shelters. Scum bags ditch them instead of seeing it through to the end. Personally, I feel they deserve the extra care in their senior years in exchange for all the joy they have given us. You are a great piggy mom. I totally get why you want to naturally reduce the herd. I am at the same point in my life as well.

My piggies are doing great!! They are what I look up to seeing them and caring for them every morning. Just one of them leg is hurting but she’s great!! There both my babies!!!

Sometimes I forget boys can get territorial cause my two boys always cuddle and love each other so much, although it may be because they have been in the same cage since birth. They are such good buddies 🥰

I know what you mean I have 12 pigs and one of them has a URI really bad and I’ve been to the vet 4 times this Saturday and I’m checking him and putting humidifiers every few hours and it’s a lot I feel emotionally overwhelmed

3 of my 5 piggies are seniors currently….I had 6 piggies and 4 of the 6 were seniors but one of my seniors just passed away almost a week ago now….definitely is scary having 3 of my 5 being seniors!

So super crazy how my evening routine is EXACTLY there same. I even have tthe same litter scoop (mine pee in a litter pan) but yes it works amazing also I got a small dirt devel to get the poops all over and I hold it at an upward angle so it don't catch the fleece and omg it works with quickness!! But ur set up I always loved. I got all my ideas from you💜

I have one question, do you think i can bond my two boys again (they are brothers), i made a mistake by putting a sow thinking it was a boar, now the are fighting😭

You take such wonderful care of the piggies. Such dedication and hard work. I am a new piggy mom to 3 boars. Dusty, Snowy and Smoky. Notice a theme? Lol. They are so much fun to watch. So far they are getting along for the most part, it seems like every couple of days 2 of them try to show dominance over each other.

I'm in the process of training to hold my 2-4 month two female guinea pig and when I try tame it, they wriggle like crazy, panicking and wanting to jump off my hand. Should I still try to attempt to doing this?

I wasn't sure about my pigs knowing their name until one day I decided to call them by name at feeding time and found that they wheek louder at their own name than the other's name (they have very different wheeks). I since adopted two more to have a quad 3 weeks ago and my new girl learned her name so fast! It was 9 days into having her and she was munching hay at the far side of the cage and hadn't realised I'd brought Veggies over so I called her, she turned around and then came running over wheeking. I was so stunned at how smart she obviously is to know her name that fast. My new boy has no idea of his yet haha. It was seeing your herd that encouraged me to get a bigger cage to have my own quad 🙂

Is it ok if I give my boys two water or bottled water indiny know what’s best for my pigges

My last 50 lb box of hay from Oxbow was crumby too. A lot of yellow stalks and dust! Thankfully, I can get fresh hay locally soon.

i have two girls currently in a 2×5 cage, and they get along great. both of my girls are about four, and i have been thinking about getting another younger girl to live with them. of course bigger is always better, but do you think a 2×5 is suitable for three female pigs? any advice is appreciated!

as you age, its good to think of reducing the amount of guinea pigs you have.. that way you do not have to worry about rehoming them when you become fraile

i find to get the really small powdery hay off the fleece, a fine fine comb works but takes forever. i am really picky as its a pain to clean the wet hay out of the washing machine if i dun do it lol.

Abby your doing a wonderful job of taking care of the 10 piggies. For you it is finding a balance of ages and number. We are here for you to support you, you help us.

If you do happen to see too much calcium buildup on the fleece, what are some suggestions you have? I’ve seen that a couple times before actually

Hi Abby my little piggies they doing so good and they love sleeping in the tunnel I love see you’re piggies and the cage is awesome looking and one the my piggies he to know he’s name in the mornings I gave the veggies I call him Sean and he coming I think he know I call him he’s so cute

I love seeing them explore after the cage is cleaned. It's like everything is new! (And of course, they have to come out when you're cleaning, just to see what's going on and get a pat or three.)

Hey Abby, do you think they know by the tone of your voice when you're telling them they're pretty and beautiful it makes them feel good? I know I always tell my rattie girls how much I love them and how beautiful they are and when I do i always get bruxing and eye boggles, so I'd like to think that they do feel something.

I got a small litter box that I put kiln dried pine in with a house with a handful of hay and a bowl of food and my guys love to jump in and out and sleep in it and it has cut down so much on wet fleece! I want to get a second box one for the other end of the cage. I’m sure not all pigs would enjoy but it’s worked great for my 3 guys. I tried with Amazon boxes to see if they would even go in it first.

I know how you feel, they are a joy when they are all well, but they are prone to so many illnesses it can be overwhelming at times. Don't beat yourself up, it's just how pigs are. Any piggy in your home is better off than anywhere else 💕
