  1. A little update … I've been using apple cider vinegar Directly on my dog toothbrush that's double sided one sides bigger than other I use the fat side I dip it in the vinegar And been Brushing it directly onto his teeth I don't leave it there long maybe five minutes not even then I give him squirts of water in his mouth wash it up he seems to enjoy it… Then I apply coconut oil all over his gums and teeth I'd rub it in or you could brush it in… He had some major buildup on his big canine teeth they were covered…. within a week it all came right off… I would apply it once a day teeth underneath look really good… Now I'm concentrating on the gum line . Mouth is noticeably cleaner even though you could still see some tartar and he had some major buildup ,, the gums are less inflamed that's for sure Now I've been using coconut oil on myself just swish it around in your mouth for 10 minutes a day and spit it out you'll see a big difference after a week or so.. In another week I'll stop using your cider vinegar … and just use the coconut oil .. the tartar came off with big chunks I just use a fingernail to pick it right off … picked it up it was almost the size of a fingernail It's been on his teeth for a while… I'm also using a little bit of apple cider vinegar in his water not even a capful just to make it less alkaline We have very hard water here..

  2. Go slightly underneath the gum line with the tip facing downwards and with one clean push remove the calculus. Then wipe tooth with antiseptic dental spray. Do not use the pointed end in this manner as you don't have any polishing agents or electric dental equipment to polish out the scratches left in the enamel. Bad idea. Some things should be left to the professionals even if they do rip us off in the process.

  3. Good job…. not everybody can afford to take a dog to a vet ..Let alone get their own dental work ..Just to give you an idea a dental cleaning for a dog can cost over $1,000 And as minimal as $400 .. That scaler is not that great by the way …you're better off doing it by hand with a scraper/scaler after you loosen up the tartar with some Apple cider vinegar Brushed on with a tooth brush Over a weeks time..Always rinse the dogs mouth so there's no apple cider vinegar left.. and you can add it to the water like you have been… I've had dogs lose teeth from rough play and aggressive biting…there's nothing you can do ….you just make sure the gums don't get infected you just keep a eye on the gums Where the tooth used to be ..the gums will seal naturally over the tooth hole … Just like in humans. If they get infected you'll see pus .. i never had that problem They just sealed Naturally..

  4. yikes.. you should clearly not be doing this to your dog. you are not supposed to use the tip, especially not going back and forth. using the tip will cause the formation of holes in the teeth, which will collect plague faster and make things more painful. do single strokes from gumline to point instead of back and forth with the side edge of the blade. please do your research before doing this as you are setting your dog up for more pain in the future. leave this stuff to the vets who know how to do it.
