I recommended just isoflurane gas + Oxygen, no I/V sedation as this dog was much sluggish. A rapid surgical treatment makes sure the dog endures. Gas by mask was okay in this case. I evaluate that this dog has a great chance of survival as the owner did not put things off seeing the veterinarian. She was incredibly sluggish and had minor anemia. 1. My dog is 9 years old female non spayed jack Russel chihuahua, who is exhibiting signs of lethargic and increased water consumption and loss of appetite. We want to vet many times and nobody is able to diagnosis the issue. She started to faint a few times after feeding (syncope). Wondering if maybe she has closed pyometra. Your input would be greatly appreciated, we are running low on options and vets in Canada only care about money and wasteful testing, not interested in any solutions.
