If you have a hard time retrapping him, grab a blanket and throw it on him, try grabbing the back oh his neck and you should be able to get him into the cage. You alao might want to wear a long sleeved sweatshirt

Last thing make sure you keep the bags! Foods are recalled when it comes to kibble semi frequently. And if you don't have the lot number you won't know if your food is affected. Unfortunately unlike things for piggies, meat based kibbles can get recalled more often. You can cut out the lot number and stick it on the bin each time you put a new bag in. And don't mix lots. Just in case. 🙂 Also get him a da bird toy. Guaranteed he will play with that!
I'm so happy to see you got him a whisker stress free bowl! He's loving it! A great way to help bond, although very gross and smelly is to put Sardine water on your fingers and let him lick it off. When we trapped ferals this (as long as you didn't make eye contact) would get them from hissing to licking away. It's fun to try. Sardines are a great healthy treat too. Most stray/ferals love it. I'm.so happy someone as wonderful as you has him. I can see you are doing everything necessary to make him comfortable and most healthy. Bless. I hope he comes around. It will take awhile but he will jsut click one day!

I'm glad you changed food bowls, I don't think he liked that other that was clear and kind of fishbowl shaped. It tickled his whiskers and they really don't like that. From what I understand their whiskers are very sensitive and used to feel their way around. He looks goo tho, adjusting well, he's gonna be pissed when he goes to the vet but he'll be much healthier
