This is why we need to spay and neuter cats, she is a young cat, Cats from 9 months old can have kittens, barely out of kittenhood themselves. She is young and playful, that's all. it's sad if anything. Watch and learn from videos rather than just go 'aww', help your RNT and local vets to stop this issue if you really love animals.

The answer: it depends on the situation…
Was the kitten playing to rough with mom first?
Was the mom trying to groom her kitten and he didn’t want to be groom?
Was the mom teaching the kitten a lesson of some kind? Etc, etc, etc…
