I do believe her Hyacinth macaw has been uthanized. I'm am so sorry for you 😞 what she had go through that. My God brother is a veterinarian here in Texas. He said, there is storage 😳 of veterinarians in United States. Majority of veterinarians will take advantage on their customers and its cruel cause very high prices. Its a vicious cycle a lot unwanted pets live on the streets cause owners can't pay vet bills. Animal Control is over crowed in Animal shelter. In some areas shelter they euthanized pets there too. I have dogs and cats walking in our neighborhood unwanted and thats a problem for your Animal Control Center. In our home town the pet kennel is very small. It will take 30 to 60 thousands dollars 💸 to bill plus installment. The city is broke for that. We have to depend on grants , government funding and fundraising for that.

Wow, this is such a sad story. I don't know where Jessica lives, but I would have called a birdsanctuary first before going to a vet. They know which vet is the best. Look at April of parrot playhouse. She is so very happy with Dr. G that treat Victoria for her illness. They can give people good advice. I wish Jessica all the strength she need to get over this, and I am sorry for her loss. I think the best thing to do if you want to buy a bird is, adopt, don't shop.

I completely understand that special bond that you get with the hookbill parrots. They show so many emotions that are like ours that having one and caring for him/her is like a human child. When I was out of the room for too long during the day my Greencheek 🦜 would call 'See Birdy!' which is the name that he associated with me.; young children can do that too. One night he was excited and didn't want to go to sleep. I rocked him on my shoulder while I was singing softly to him. He got sleepy after about 15 minutes and then let me put him in his cage to bed.

When he died on Christmas Day I was heartbroken. I put him in an open box lined with a linen napkin in the living room on the coffee table. I lit a candle and listened to music all day. I loved all my pets but the grief I had when Greenby died was the hardest. ❤ -Robin

You know how they train people to be veterans and veteran technicians? They make you "put down "a healthy animal.

This is the worst thing I have heard. I am so sorry she had to go through that, and besides the pain all the expense on top of it. 😢I hope one day she will have the strength to make her own review and go after them on every social media platform, even find and write to the CEO or owner of the company because the only way to make change is to make NOISE and affect their business and bottom line. All vets should be held accountable and realize the job is not just medical, you need to be able to communicate and work WITH the animals owner.

I'd sue all vets are money hungry killers they tried the same thing with my little dog. They charged us a fortune tried to trick us into a unnecessary surgery and spay it's ridiculous.
